Everest

The Ford Everest is a large SUV designed to combine long-distance comfort with genuine four-wheel-drive capability. Its broad model range includes Active, Platinum, Sport, Wildtrak and Tremor variants, giving buyers a choice between straightforward everyday equipment, higher levels of luxury, sportier styling and more specialised off-road hardware.

Power comes from either a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel or a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel, with the V6 configuration highlighted for its stronger towing capability. A 10-speed automatic transmission is used across the featured specifications, while full-time 4WD helps the Everest maintain traction across changing surfaces. Selectable drive modes allow the vehicle to be adapted to different conditions, making the system useful beyond occasional low-grip situations.

Practicality is a central part of the Everest formula. The vehicle can be specified with either five seats or seven seats, and the flexible cabin is matched by a boot that expands from 259 litres to more than 1,818 litres when the second and third rows are folded. That range of carrying capacity makes the Everest adaptable to passengers, luggage and larger recreational equipment without requiring a separate cargo vehicle.

Across the range, the equipment mix varies substantially by grade. Active models include 18-inch alloy wheels, all-season tyres and an available seven-seat layout. Platinum versions add a more premium presentation, including a panoramic roof with power blind, matrix LED headlamps and larger machine-faced alloy wheels. Sport and Wildtrak models use darker exterior treatments, while the Wildtrak also combines seven seats with heated and ventilated front seats and a 400-watt, 230-volt Pro Power Onboard inverter.

The Tremor is the most overtly adventure-focused version. Its specification includes 17-inch alloy wheels, General Grabber all-terrain tyres, off-road suspension with Bilstein position-sensitive dampers and underbody protection. The published Tremor figures include 255mm of ground clearance, an 800mm water-wading capability and a 1,650mm track width, giving this variant a more specialised focus for rougher terrain.

Technology is integrated into the cabin through a touchscreen offered in 10.1-inch or 12-inch formats, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Towing-focused equipment includes Pro-Trailer Backup Assist and a 360-degree camera, intended to make trailer positioning and reversing easier to manage. Diesel versions require AdBlue diesel exhaust fluid, an operational consideration for owners covering substantial distances.
