Ford Everest

The Ford Everest is a large SUV designed to combine family-focused practicality with genuine four-wheel-drive capability. Its range includes Active, Sport, Platinum, Wildtrak and Tremor variants, giving buyers a choice between everyday touring equipment, premium appointments and more specialised off-road hardware.

Power comes from either a 2.0L bi-turbo diesel or a 3.0L V6 turbo-diesel, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and 4WD. The diesel engines and selectable drive modes are suited to a vehicle intended to cover long-distance travel, towing and changing terrain. Across the range, towing capacity is quoted at up to 3500kg, while available Pro-Trailer Backup Assist and a 360-degree camera are intended to make trailer manoeuvring less demanding.

Interior flexibility is a key part of the Everest's appeal. Five seats are standard on some variants, with a seven-seat configuration available, and the boot can expand from 259 litres to more than 1818 litres when the second and third rows are folded. That broad loading range allows the cabin to adapt between passenger duties and larger recreational equipment.

Specification varies by grade. Active models include 18-inch alloy wheels and all-season tyres, while higher variants add larger alloy wheels, panoramic roof equipment, Matrix LED lighting and heated and ventilated front seats. Wildtrak adds seven seats as standard and a 400W 230V Pro Power Onboard inverter, while Tremor focuses on off-road use with all-terrain tyres, Bilstein position-sensitive dampers, steel underbody protection, 255mm ground clearance and an 800mm water-wading figure.
