Vehicle Overview

The 2016 Volkswagen Golf R combines the compact practicality of a five-door hatchback with a more focused, generously equipped character. Its restrained white exterior gives the car a clean, purposeful appearance, while the R specification adds visual distinction through 19-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, chrome exhaust details and sports-oriented exterior touches.

Inside, the cabin is shaped around supportive racing sports seats, leather upholstery and a flat-bottomed sports steering wheel. Heated front seats and dual-zone climate control add everyday comfort, while ambient lighting and chrome interior highlights provide a more considered feel. The split-fold rear seat and cargo cover help the hatchback remain useful for routine carrying duties, making the Golf R more versatile than its performance-focused image might suggest.

Technology is well represented for its age, with satellite navigation, a multifunction control screen, mobile phone connectivity, AUX and USB inputs, and an eight-speaker radio/CD system. Park Assist, rear parking distance control and a reversing camera make low-speed manoeuvring easier, while cruise control and an adjustable speed limiter support relaxed longer-distance driving.

Safety and driver assistance equipment includes electronic stability and traction control, anti-lock braking, brake assist, electronic brake-force distribution, multiple airbags, ISOFIX child-seat anchorage points and front seatbelt reminders. LED daytime running lights, dusk-sensing headlights, rain-sensing wipers and heated exterior mirrors add convenience across changing conditions.

This example has travelled 175,495 kilometres and is paired with a six-speed automatic direct-shift transmission. The listed 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, compact dimensions and practical hatchback layout make it a distinctive option for drivers seeking a well-equipped Volkswagen with stronger sporting presentation than a standard Golf. The listing records 12 months of remaining warranty and displays the vehicle as under offer.
