Vehicle Overview

The 2018 Kia Carnival S is a large, practical people mover designed around passenger space and everyday versatility. Its eight-seat cabin gives it the flexibility to carry a full complement of occupants while retaining the useful storage and loading capacity expected of a family-oriented wagon. The split-fold rear seating further broadens its usefulness when passenger capacity needs to be traded for luggage space.

Power comes from a 3.3-litre six-cylinder petrol engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. This combination is suited to relaxed everyday driving, with the automatic gearbox helping make stop-start traffic and longer journeys straightforward. The Carnival also has a 2,000kg braked towing capacity, adding useful capability for owners who need to haul a trailer within the vehicle's rated limits.

Inside, the S presents a functional cabin with air conditioning, cloth trim, a multifunction steering wheel and a multi-function control screen. Mobile phone connectivity, auxiliary and USB inputs, a CD player and six-speaker audio provide several options for entertainment and device connection. Cruise control supports more comfortable highway travel, while power windows, power mirrors, remote central locking and a remote boot release add convenience to routine use.

Visibility and manoeuvring are supported by a reversing camera, rear parking distance control, automatic lights and LED daytime running lights. The tall body and generous passenger accommodation make these features particularly useful when positioning the vehicle in tighter spaces. Roof rails and cargo tie-down points add further practicality for carrying equipment securely.

Safety equipment includes front, side and head airbags, anti-lock braking, brake assist, electronic brake-force distribution, electronic stability control, traction control and hill-holder assistance. Isofix anchorage and child-seat anchor points are included, along with child-proof rear door locks and lap-sash seatbelts for all seating positions. The vehicle carries a five-star ANCAP safety rating.

With 88,017 kilometres recorded and a stated full service history, this Carnival combines substantial passenger capacity with a familiar petrol powertrain and a broad range of convenience and safety equipment. Its configuration makes it a practical option for regular passenger transport, longer trips and occasions when flexible interior space is more important than a conventional five-seat layout.
