Vehicle Overview

This 2021 Essential Caravans Cruiser is a 22-foot touring caravan configured for two, combining a practical touring layout with the comforts expected of a longer-stay base. Its front bedroom, club lounge and full ensuite give the interior a clear sense of separation between sleeping, living and bathroom areas, while the 21'6" Touring floor plan is designed for on-road travel.

The cabin is arranged around a club-style dinette and leather entertaining area, providing a comfortable place to relax when outdoor conditions are less inviting. A full kitchen on the right-hand side includes a three-gas and one-electric cooker with grill, oven, microwave and 181-litre refrigerator. The inclusion of a washing machine and ensuite adds useful independence for extended trips, reducing the need to rely on shared facilities while travelling.

Comfort equipment includes air conditioning, a diesel heater and a television, giving the caravan practical usability across changing conditions. The entertainment specification also lists AM/FM radio, CD and DVD functionality. Outside, the awning, picnic table and external speakers extend the living area into the campsite, while two gas bottles support cooking and other onboard requirements.

Power provision is suited to touring away from conventional connections. The caravan has a 100-amp battery, a smart charger, a 195-watt solar panel with regulator and a portable solar-panel charge point. A 190-litre fresh-water tank and mains-water inlet add flexibility when setting up at different sites.

Underneath, the tandem-axle caravan uses load-sharing leaf-spring suspension, light-truck tyres and 15-inch alloy wheels. Its listed tare is 2,463kg, with a 261kg tow-ball weight and a 3,461kg aggregate trailer mass. The chassis specification includes a heavy-duty A-frame extending to the spring hangers, while the one-piece fibreglass roof and checker-plate front are intended for the demands of regular touring.
