Vehicle Overview

This 2015 Volkswagen Tiguan 132TSI is a compact wagon with the practical proportions and elevated driving position that make this generation of Tiguan easy to live with. Its black exterior gives the vehicle a restrained appearance, while the five-door body provides straightforward access for passengers and useful flexibility for everyday cargo. With 98,527 kilometres displayed, it presents as a used example of Volkswagen’s first-generation compact SUV format.

The 2.0-litre petrol engine is paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission and Volkswagen’s 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system. That combination gives the Tiguan a broad-ranging drivetrain suited to normal urban travel as well as changing road conditions. The all-wheel-drive layout is complemented by electronic differential-lock functionality, hill-holder assistance, traction control and electronic stability control, creating a reassuring set of systems for maintaining composure on varied surfaces.

Inside, the cabin focuses on usable day-to-day comfort rather than unnecessary complexity. Dual-zone automatic climate control allows the front occupants to select separate temperatures, while cruise control, a height- and reach-adjustable steering wheel and a multifunction leather steering wheel make longer drives easier to manage. Mobile-phone connectivity, an auxiliary and USB input, an eight-speaker radio/CD system and a multifunction control screen provide the expected entertainment and information functions for the vehicle’s era.

Practical details are a particular strength. The rear seat is split-folding, allowing the passenger area and cargo space to be adapted when carrying larger items. A cargo cover, tie-down hooks, under-floor storage, door pockets, seatback pockets and multiple cup holders help keep the cabin organised. Roof rails add further carrying flexibility, while front and rear parking distance controls, a reversing camera and Park Assist support easier manoeuvring in confined spaces.

The equipment list also includes rain-sensing wipers, dusk-sensing headlights, front fog lamps, heated exterior mirrors, rear privacy glass, a self-dimming rear-view mirror and 16- and 17-inch alloy-wheel specifications listed in the vehicle information. Safety equipment includes dual front, side and head airbags, anti-lock braking, brake assist, electronic brake-force distribution, front seatbelt pre-tensioners and child-seat anchor points.

The listing states that the Tiguan is supplied with two keys, a logbook and owner’s handbook, and records a recent service. Roadworthy documentation, registration and a six-month warranty are also stated in the supplied vehicle information. Together with its all-wheel-drive layout, flexible wagon body and broad practical equipment, the Tiguan offers a well-rounded used SUV package with a clear emphasis on everyday versatility.
