Vehicle Overview

This 2023 Volkswagen California Beach TDI340 SWB DSG combines the practical footprint of a five-door wagon with a carefully integrated set of touring and camping features. With 16,498 km displayed, the vehicle presents as a relatively lightly used example of the T6.1 MY23 California Beach, finished in red with a grey interior and configured to carry up to seven occupants.

The California’s appeal lies in the way its cabin can serve more than one purpose. It is a people mover when the full seating capacity is required, while the fitted camping equipment gives it a more self-contained character for travel and overnight use. An electric roof adds useful flexibility to the interior layout, providing an adaptable element to the vehicle’s touring-focused design without changing its familiar wagon body style.

At the rear, the Vanessa kitchen unit and cupboards provide dedicated storage and food-preparation space. An inbuilt fridge supports the same practical brief, while the water tank, pump and sink create a convenient onboard arrangement for handling basic campsite tasks. These additions are integrated around the vehicle’s existing passenger and cargo functionality, making the California suited to owners who value organised storage and equipment that is ready to use rather than carried separately.

Comfort in cooler conditions is supported by the factory diesel heater. The listed genuine Volkswagen rear tailgate shower tent is brand new in its bag, adding another useful piece of equipment to the vehicle’s touring specification. Together, the kitchen, fridge, water system, heater and shower tent give this California a distinct recreational focus while retaining the everyday usability expected of a wagon.

Power comes from a 2.0-litre diesel engine paired with Volkswagen’s sports automatic dual-clutch transmission. The front-wheel-drive layout keeps the mechanical specification straightforward, and the automatic transmission is well matched to a vehicle intended to cover both regular driving and longer journeys. The five-door configuration allows access to the passenger compartment and rear accommodation areas, while the seven-seat capacity preserves substantial versatility for carrying people.
