The Toyota bZ4X is an all-electric SUV designed to combine everyday practicality with the quiet, responsive character of electric driving. In 2WD form, it uses an electric motor producing up to 165kW and draws energy from a 74.7kWh lithium-ion battery. The front-mounted motor delivers up to 268.6Nm of torque, while the vehicle’s 452-litre cargo area provides useful space for regular shopping, luggage and daily equipment.

Driving range is listed at up to 591km under the WLTP test cycle, although actual range varies with conditions, driving style, temperature, traffic and use of climate systems. For longer journeys, the bZ4X supports DC fast charging at up to 150kW, with a stated 10-to-80 per cent charging time of approximately 28 minutes. Three-phase AC charging at up to 22kW is also supported, with a stated 10-to-100 per cent time of approximately 3.5 hours. Mode 2 and Mode 3 charging cables are included in the listed equipment.

The cabin is centred around a 14-inch colour touchscreen with Bluetooth, DAB radio and hybrid navigation. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto provide familiar smartphone access without requiring a cable, while two 15W Qi-compatible wireless charging pads and four USB ports add practical convenience for occupants. Dual-zone climate control incorporates Nanoe X air-purifying technology, and heated front seats and a heated steering wheel contribute to comfort in colder conditions.

Vehicle-to-load capability can provide AC power at up to 220V and 1500W for compatible equipment, extending the vehicle’s usefulness beyond transportation.

Toyota Safety Sense 3 includes a Pre-Collision Safety System, Lane Departure Alert, Road Sign Assist and Safe Exit Assist. The safety package is supplemented by a driver monitor camera with Emergency Driving Stop System, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and a Panoramic View Monitor. Eight SRS airbags and a rear-seat reminder are also listed, creating a comprehensive safety specification for an electric SUV intended to serve a broad range of everyday driving needs.
