Vehicle Overview

This 2014 Toyota Hiace Long Super GL 4WD is a practical five-seat van with the durability and adaptable layout associated with the Hiace name. Its diesel engine, automatic transmission and four-wheel-drive system give it a useful combination of easy everyday operation and added traction when conditions become less predictable.

The long-body configuration provides a versatile foundation for carrying people, equipment or recreational gear. A factory lift adds extra ground clearance, while power steering, power windows and air conditioning help keep the cabin straightforward and comfortable to use. Rear air conditioning is particularly useful in a larger van cabin, helping distribute cooling beyond the front seats.

Inside, the five-seat layout offers a balance between passenger capacity and the flexibility expected of a van. Carpet flooring and a centre console contribute to a more car-like cabin environment, while the rear monitor adds useful visibility assistance when manoeuvring this larger-bodied vehicle. The equipment list also includes a remote key, ABS, a single SRS airbag, AM/FM radio, CD player and steering-wheel audio controls.

For owners considering a touring or camping conversion, the vehicle is also presented as compatible with an optional camper kit. The proposed package includes an expanding double bed measuring 1400mm by 1900mm, a pull-out kitchen drawer, benchtop, twin-burner stove area, cutlery drawer, folding kitchen table and storage beneath the bed. Its laminated plywood construction is designed to bolt to the factory tie-down points, preserving a removable and adaptable approach to fitting out the van. Mattresses are separate, and the camper equipment is an additional-cost option rather than standard vehicle equipment.

With its diesel powertrain, automatic transmission, four-wheel drive and spacious van body, this Hiace offers a useful base for work, transport or a tailored weekend setup. The combination of five seats and configurable interior space means it can remain practical for regular use while accommodating changing cargo or travel requirements.
