Audi Q8 50 TDI quattro tiptronic

This 2022 Audi Q8 50 TDI quattro tiptronic combines the broad practicality of a large SUV with the composed, technology-focused character expected of Audi’s flagship Q range. Its diesel powertrain is paired with quattro all-wheel drive and an eight-speed tiptronic automatic transmission, providing a substantial and flexible foundation for everyday driving and longer journeys.

The 2,967cc six-cylinder diesel uses turbocharging and 48V mild-hybrid technology, producing 210 kW and 600 Nm. That output gives the Q8 the reserves suited to a large luxury SUV, while the mild-hybrid system supports smoother operation around town. The quoted 6.3-second 0–100 km/h acceleration figure also reflects the vehicle’s ability to deliver its performance without relying on a highly specialised powertrain.

Inside, Valcona leather upholstery with S embossing gives the cabin a distinctive, premium finish. Front occupants benefit from electrically adjustable seats with driver memory and heating, while the leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel also includes heating. Electric rear sunshades, privacy glass and a panoramic glass sunroof add to the cabin’s sense of refinement and help tailor the interior to changing light and temperature conditions.

The Q8 is particularly well equipped for occupants who value clear information and convenient access to vehicle functions. Its head-up display helps keep key driving information within the driver’s line of sight, while Audi connect navigation and infotainment plus, Audi smartphone interface and the Bang & Olufsen 3D Premium Sound System provide a well-integrated multimedia environment. Audi connect emergency call and service with remote and control functions further extend the vehicle’s connectivity offering.

Exterior detailing includes the S line exterior package, a high-gloss black exterior package, high-gloss black mirror housings and 22-inch five-V-spoke star-design alloy wheels with an anthracite black and gloss-turned finish. HD Matrix LED headlights with front and rear dynamic indicators sit alongside LED rear lighting, giving the Q8 a crisp lighting signature and useful adaptability in changing conditions.

Practicality is supported by a 605-litre luggage compartment, an electrically opening and closing tailgate and an electric luggage compartment cover. Convenience key access, surround-view cameras and park assist plus help make the Q8 easier to manage in confined spaces, while cruise control with speed limiter and Audi pre sense rear add useful support during routine driving. Quattro with a self-locking centre differential provides the defining all-wheel-drive capability.
