The 2026 Geely Starray EM-i Inspire Extended Range is a plug-in hybrid SUV designed around the flexibility of electric-assisted driving without giving up the convenience of a petrol engine. This demo vehicle has covered 4,000 km and combines a 1.5-litre petrol-electric powertrain with an automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

Its hybrid layout is suited to drivers who want to make use of electric propulsion while retaining the reassurance of a combustion engine for longer journeys. The vehicle develops up to 160kW, while regenerative braking helps recover energy during deceleration. The E-DHT system manages the interaction between the petrol engine and electric components automatically, keeping the driving experience straightforward.

As an SUV, the Starray EM-i offers a practical cabin format with seating for five and a split-fold second row. The interior is finished in black and includes climate control, rear air conditioning, heated front seats and ventilated front seats. The driver's electric seat adds memory and massage functions, while the glass roof with power blind contributes to the sense of space in the passenger compartment.

Technology is a major part of the Inspire Extended Range specification. A full digital instrument display, head-up information display, satellite navigation, digital radio, Bluetooth connectivity and a colour multifunction control screen provide several ways to access vehicle information and entertainment. The Starray also features selectable driving modes, regenerative braking with adjustable settings, electric power steering and electronic stability, traction and hill-descent controls. Nineteen-inch alloy wheels and LED lighting complete the exterior specification.
