Vehicle Overview

The 2026 Volkswagen Touareg 170TDI RC is a large, composed SUV that combines a strong diesel powertrain with the comfort and technology expected of a premium family vehicle. This grey demo vehicle has travelled 5,450 km and is fitted with Volkswagen's 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6, producing 170kW and 500Nm. Its automatic transmission and 4MOTION four-wheel drive system provide a confident foundation for everyday driving and longer journeys.

A key strength of the Touareg is the way it blends substantial road presence with a measured, comfort-focused cabin. The specification includes Vienna leather-appointed seating, heated front seats, pneumatically adjustable front lumbar support and memory functions for the driver's seat and exterior mirrors. These features support a relaxed driving position and make the cabin easier to share between drivers.

The interior also includes a leather-covered multifunction steering wheel with gearshift paddles, Digital Cockpit Pro and driving profile selection. Open-cell fine-grain ash ornamental wood inserts add a distinctive finish to the dashboard and door trim, while 30-colour ambient lighting and an eight-speaker stereo contribute to a more considered passenger environment. Wireless App-Connect provides a convenient way to integrate compatible devices without relying on a cable.

Practical visibility and parking support are well covered. An Area View surround-view camera system helps provide a clearer picture of the vehicle's immediate surroundings, while the advanced driver attention and drowsiness monitor adds another layer of driver assistance. Lighting equipment includes matrix LED headlights, premium LED tail lights with dynamic indicators, automatic headlight control and a poor-weather light function with cornering light.

This Touareg is also factory-optioned with a panoramic glass sunroof and the Sound & Comfort package. The panoramic roof brings additional light into the cabin, while the broader equipment mix reinforces the vehicle's long-distance touring focus. Tinted heat-insulating glass, electrically folding exterior mirrors with environment lighting and 19-inch alloy wheels complete a specification that is both functional and visually restrained.

With a listed combined fuel consumption figure of 7L/100km and a 90-litre fuel tank, the diesel powertrain is suited to covering substantial distances between refuelling stops. The five-seat cabin and SUV body style provide a useful balance of passenger accommodation, visibility and everyday versatility, while the 2,850kg listed weight and four-wheel-drive layout underline the Touareg's substantial character.
