The 2026 Polaris RANGER 500 is a compact utility side-by-side designed to make routine property work more manageable. Its 567 cc ProStar engine produces 28 horsepower, while automatic PVT transmission and selectable all-wheel drive provide a straightforward way to move around varied terrain without adding unnecessary complexity to the driving experience.

Practicality is central to the RANGER 500's appeal. The gas-assist dump box can carry up to 227 kg, giving it the capacity to move tools, materials and other working loads with fewer trips. A 680 kg towing rating and standard 5 cm receiver broaden its usefulness for trailers and equipment, while the factory-installed 1,133 kg winch adds extra capability when clearing obstacles or handling demanding recovery and property-maintenance tasks.

Despite its working focus, the vehicle is sized with manoeuvrability in mind. The 148.6 cm width helps it negotiate narrower spaces, and the 4.2 m turning radius supports controlled movement around buildings, gardens and established landscaping. Selectable VersaTrac Turf Mode can unlock the rear differential for tighter turns with reduced lawn disturbance, making the vehicle more adaptable when moving between open ground and maintained surfaces.

Suspension hardware includes MacPherson struts at the front with 22.9 cm of travel and dual A-arm independent rear suspension with 25.4 cm of travel. Together with 25.4 cm of ground clearance, hydraulic disc brakes and 25-inch tyres, the chassis is equipped for everyday off-road utility use. The two-person flip-up bench seat uses three-point harnesses, while cab nets provide a simple barrier around the occupant area.

Equipment is focused on convenience rather than ornament. LED headlights, tilt-adjustable steering, a 4-inch LCD rider information centre, USB charging and a DC outlet support regular use, while the display provides key information including speed, engine speed, fuel level, gear position, service details and operating hours. The Lock & Ride-compatible cargo system also allows the dump box to work with a range of integrated accessories.
