Omoda Jaecoo continues strong NEV sales in July

Omoda Jaecoo continued to build momentum in Australia during July 2026, with electrified vehicles accounting for 74 percent of the brand’s reported deliveries for the month. The result is notable given July is traditionally a quieter period for new-vehicle sales, yet the brand recorded 2,135 registrations, including 1,571 vehicles using electric or hybrid technology.

The Jaecoo J5 EV was the strongest individual contributor, with 1,262 examples sold during July. Its performance adds to more than 7,700 J5 deliveries since the model’s introduction, of which 7,192 have been EV variants. The J5 EV was also identified as Australia’s best-selling small electric SUV in May and ranked seventh among all vehicles for that month.

The broader figures point to a rapidly changing product mix. Across its Super Hybrid and EV models, the brand has delivered more than 9,000 vehicles in Australia during 2026, representing 82.5 percent of its total sales of 10,943. That result places electrification at the centre of the range rather than treating it as a niche alternative.

International results provide further context. Omoda Jaecoo reported 56,188 global NEV sales in June, a 310 percent year-on-year increase. The J7 SHS-P has also performed strongly in the United Kingdom, where the brand reported 23,840 sales during the first half of 2026. The J7 has similarly ranked among the top three PHEV models in Brazil, Italy and Poland.

The Australian range is set to broaden with the arrival of the next generation of Super Hybrid products. Announced additions include the J5 SHS-H and the seven-seat J8 SHS-P, extending the brand’s electrified offering across different vehicle sizes and passenger requirements.
