Vehicle Overview

The 2017 Subaru XV 2.0i-L G5X is a compact hatchback with the raised stance and all-weather capability associated with Subaru’s versatile XV line. Finished in Ice Silver, this example combines a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre petrol engine with a continuously variable transmission and Four Wheel Drive, creating a specification suited to varied everyday driving conditions while retaining the manoeuvrability of a compact body.

Its 53,358km odometer reading places this vehicle in a useful middle ground for buyers seeking a modern used car without the footprint of a larger SUV. The five-door hatchback body provides practical access for passengers and luggage, while the five-seat cabin supports regular family or commuter use. Split-folding rear seats add flexibility when carrying larger items, and the stated 4465mm length, 1800mm width and 1615mm height give it a relatively manageable physical presence.

The XV’s Four Wheel Drive system is supported by Subaru’s Active Torque Transfer System, a feature that helps make the drivetrain relevant beyond straightforward urban travel. Roof rails, mudflaps and a space-saver spare wheel add useful practicality, while the 63-litre fuel tank and listed combined fuel consumption of 7 L/100km provide clear context for longer-distance use. The vehicle also has a braked towing capacity of 1400kg and an unbraked capacity of 650kg.

Inside, the equipment list focuses on comfort, convenience and connected driving. Two-zone climate control, a colour multifunction display, a trip computer, Bluetooth, USB connectivity and smartphone integration through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto help keep daily journeys straightforward. The leather steering wheel, leather gear knob, height-adjustable driver’s seat and split-folding second row contribute to a cabin designed around regular usability rather than unnecessary complexity.

Safety equipment is a notable part of the specification. The XV has a five-star ANCAP safety rating and includes front, side and curtain airbags, ABS, electronic stability and traction control, brake assist, electronic brake-force distribution and hill-holder assistance. Forward collision warning, forward collision mitigation, pedestrian avoidance with braking, distance-control cruise control, lane departure warning and active lane-keeping assistance provide additional driver support. A rear-view camera, rear parking visibility and tyre-pressure monitoring further assist with manoeuvring and day-to-day awareness.

Exterior details include 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, LED tail lamps, front fog lamps, privacy glass and a rear roof-mounted spoiler. Keyless entry and start functionality, folding power mirrors, remote hatch release, electric windows and an electric park brake add convenience without changing the vehicle’s straightforward character. The result is a compact Subaru with a practical hatchback layout, a capable Four Wheel Drive system and a broad spread of safety and connectivity features.
