BYD SEALION 6 Premium Extended

The BYD SEALION 6 Premium Extended is a plug-in hybrid SUV configured with all-wheel drive, combining a 1.5L turbo Xiaoyun engine with BYD’s New Generation Blade Battery. This powertrain places the vehicle in the practical middle ground between a conventional petrol SUV and a fully electric model, offering the flexibility of an internal-combustion engine alongside the ability to charge at home or from compatible public charging equipment.

For the selected Premium Extended grade, the hardware is oriented towards stronger performance, with maximum outputs listed at 253kW and 550Nm. The all-wheel-drive layout gives this version a distinct position within the SEALION 6 range, while the published 0–100km/h time of 5.5 seconds indicates that the extra power is intended to deliver more than simply economical transport. The 60L fuel tank also provides a straightforward fallback for longer trips when charging access is limited.

Charging capability includes 7kW AC charging and DC charging through a CCS2 connection at up to 18kW. That combination suits owners who can make use of regular overnight charging, while the petrol engine and fuel tank preserve the convenience of refuelling during extended travel. As with any plug-in hybrid, the real-world balance between electric and petrol running will depend on charging habits, journey length and driving conditions.

This configuration is finished in Arctic White with a Black interior and rides on standard 19-inch alloy wheels. The exterior colour is included, as are the selected wheels and interior trim. The restrained colour combination gives the SUV a clean, understated appearance, while the larger alloy wheels add visual presence without changing the underlying specification of the selected grade.
