GWM Cannon

The GWM Cannon is a utility vehicle designed to combine working capability with the comfort and technology expected of a modern passenger vehicle. Its ute format provides a practical foundation for carrying equipment, while the available 4x4 system and diesel powertrain are suited to more demanding surfaces and towing duties.

For variants equipped with the 2.4L turbo diesel engine, the Cannon produces 135kW and 480Nm. The engine is paired with a self-developed nine-speed automatic transmission, giving the range a broad spread of ratios for everyday driving and load-related work. Selected variants offer a braked towing capacity of up to 3,500kg, while Premium versions are listed with a 3,200kg capacity.

The Cannon range includes several equipment levels, allowing the specification to move from straightforward work-focused models to more extensively equipped versions. Depending on the variant, highlights include 18-inch alloy wheels, faux-leather or leather-accented seating, a 12.3-inch infotainment display, reversing or 360-degree camera systems, and smartphone integration through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wireless phone charging, smart keyless entry and push-button starting are also available within the range.

Higher-grade models add comfort-oriented equipment such as heated, ventilated and power-adjustable front seats, while the Ultra and Vanta grades feature leather-accented interiors and wireless charging. The Vanta adds black alloy wheels, while the XSR is distinguished by more specialised off-road equipment, including a snorkel, front and rear steel bumpers and front and rear differential locks.
