Discover the All-New Peugeot 3008 Hybrid: The Next-Level Hybrid SUV Coming to Australia in 2025

The 2025 Peugeot 3008 Hybrid introduces a new-generation interpretation of the French brand’s mid-size SUV, combining a fastback-inspired silhouette with a mild-hybrid powertrain and a technology-focused cabin. It is positioned as an important step in Peugeot’s electrification strategy for Australia, with a focus on reducing fuel consumption without moving entirely to a plug-in or battery-electric drivetrain.

Power comes from a 1.2-litre turbocharged PureTech three-cylinder engine paired with a 48V electric motor integrated into the six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The system develops 100kW and 230Nm, while the hybrid assistance is designed to support smoother low-speed operation and improved efficiency in urban driving. The published combined-cycle fuel-consumption figure is 4.9L/100km, with CO2 emissions stated to be up to 32 per cent lower than those of previous internal-combustion models. The system can also drive on electric power alone at low speeds under suitable conditions.

Two variants are identified for the initial Australian launch: the 3008 Allure Hybrid and the 3008 GT Premium Hybrid, with a GT Hybrid variant planned to join the range later. The Allure specification is described with 19-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting with Peugeot’s three-claw signature, dual-zone climate control, wireless smartphone charging and fabric upholstery. Its technology package includes a curved 21-inch HD i-Cockpit display that combines the digital instrument panel and infotainment interface, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The GT Premium Hybrid builds on that equipment with Nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and a panoramic sunroof. Adaptive Pixel LED headlights, three-dimensional LED tail-lights, a premium Focal ten-speaker audio system and a black diamond roof and rear spoiler give the higher-grade model a more upmarket presentation.

Across the range, the 3008’s interior is centred on Peugeot’s i-Cockpit concept. The panoramic curved display places key information and entertainment functions prominently in the driver’s field of view, while customisable i-Toggles can provide shortcuts to as many as 10 selected functions. A compact steering wheel with flush controls completes the driver-oriented layout.

Visually, the SUV stands apart through its sloping fastback profile, clean surfacing, revised front-end treatment and distinctive three-claw lighting. A floating spoiler contributes to the aerodynamic theme, while the cabin’s digital interface gives the vehicle a distinctly modern character. With its combination of hybrid assistance, efficient petrol power, contemporary design and differing equipment levels, the 3008 Hybrid broadens Peugeot’s electrified offering for the Australian market.
