Vehicle Overview

2013 Toyota Hiace DX.

This 2013 Toyota Hiace combines the practical footprint of a long-wheelbase commercial van with the added traction of four-wheel drive. Its Extra High Roof and SLWB configuration provide a particularly useful foundation for carrying equipment, fitting out a specialist workspace or making the most of the available interior volume. The vehicle is identified as an ex-ambulance, so its previous configuration is an important part of understanding its layout and intended use.

Power comes from Toyota's 2.7-litre 2TR-FE petrol engine, producing 111 kW and 241 Nm, with an automatic transmission supplying straightforward day-to-day operation. The petrol drivetrain is paired with 4WD, giving the Hiace additional versatility when conditions are less predictable or when access involves unsealed surfaces. Its stated combined fuel consumption is 11.0 L/100 km, while the 70-litre fuel tank supports longer periods between refuelling.

With 222,468 km displayed, this is a used commercial vehicle whose appeal rests primarily on its size, driveline and adaptable body rather than low mileage. The van measures 5,620 mm long, 1,890 mm wide and 2,520 mm high. Those dimensions create useful working space, although the extra-high roof should be considered when planning access to garages, car parks and other height-restricted areas.

The cabin is configured for two occupants and finished in grey, with air conditioning and a reversing camera among the listed equipment. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto add contemporary smartphone connectivity, while the reversing camera is particularly useful given the Hiace's length and elevated driving position. Windshield and rear wipers are also listed.
