The 2025 XPeng G6 Long Range is a new electric SUV that combines a spacious, technology-focused cabin with the long-distance usability expected from a modern family vehicle. With just 36 km recorded, this example is finished in Graphite Grey and pairs its rear-wheel-drive layout with an 87.5 kWh lithium-ion battery and a 210.0 kW permanent-magnet electric motor.

Its headline strength is touring range. The G6 is rated for up to 570 km on the WLTP cycle, giving it the flexibility to handle regular commuting and longer trips with fewer charging stops. When a rapid top-up is needed, the 800-volt electrical architecture supports DC charging at up to 280 kW, with the listed 10-to-80 per cent charging window taking approximately 20 minutes under suitable conditions. A Type 2 AC connection and CCS2 DC connection provide compatibility with common charging infrastructure.

The electric drivetrain delivers 440 Nm of torque through a single-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive keeps the mechanical layout straightforward, while the claimed 0-to-100 km/h time of 6.2 seconds gives the G6 responsive acceleration without compromising its practical SUV format. Regenerative charging also helps recover energy during everyday driving.

Inside, the G6 takes a lounge-like approach to comfort. Its black vegan-leather interior includes power-adjustable front seats, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, adjustable lumbar support and a heated steering wheel. A panoramic glass roof brings extra light into the cabin, while dual-zone automatic climate control and cleaner-cabin-air technology support a more comfortable environment across changing conditions.

The dashboard is centred around a 14.96-inch HD touchscreen, supported by a 10.2-inch digital driver display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto make it easy to bring familiar smartphone functions into the cabin, while wireless device charging, Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition and a connected smartphone app add everyday convenience. An 18-speaker premium sound system, including headrest speakers, provides a more immersive audio experience.

Practicality is another important part of the G6's appeal. The five-seat cabin is complemented by a 571-litre luggage area, expanding to 1,374 litres with the rear seats folded. That space gives the vehicle useful flexibility for passengers, shopping and larger loads without moving away from the comfort and elevated driving position of an SUV.

Driver assistance is extensive. The XPILOT suite incorporates adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, road-sign recognition and a road-sign adaptive speed limiter. A 360-degree surround-view camera, reversing camera, integrated dash camera and automatic parking assistance are designed to make low-speed manoeuvring easier, while safe-exit warning and rear occupancy alert add further layers of awareness.
