The 2025 XPeng G6 Long Range is a five-seat electric SUV that combines a sleek coupe-inspired profile with the everyday practicality expected of a family-sized vehicle. Its rear-wheel-drive layout and single electric motor are matched with an 87.5 kWh lithium-ion battery, while the quoted 570 km WLTP driving range gives the vehicle useful long-distance capability between charges.

Charging performance is one of the G6's defining strengths. Its 800-volt electrical architecture supports DC charging at up to 280 kW, with the supplied specifications citing a 10 to 80 per cent charge in approximately 20 minutes under suitable conditions. The vehicle also supports Type 2 AC and CCS2 DC connections, while vehicle-to-load capability adds flexibility for powering compatible external equipment away from a conventional outlet.

With 210 kW and 440 Nm available from its permanent-magnet electric motor, the G6 has the response expected of a modern performance-oriented EV without relying on a petrol engine. The single-speed automatic transmission keeps operation simple, and the rear-wheel-drive configuration provides a clear, conventional drivetrain layout. A claimed 0-100 km/h time of 6.2 seconds further underlines its brisk on-road character.

Inside, the cabin is designed around a clean, technology-focused layout. A 14.96-inch central touchscreen and 10.2-inch digital driver display provide the main information interfaces, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto helping integrate everyday smartphone functions. Wireless device charging, Bluetooth connectivity, digital radio and an 18-speaker sound system add convenience for regular commuting and longer journeys.

Comfort equipment includes power-adjustable front seats, heated and ventilated front seating, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel and dual-zone automatic climate control. The panoramic glass roof brings additional light into the cabin, while the black interior and vegan leather trim create a consistent, easy-to-use environment. Remote keyless entry, app-based access, power-folding heated mirrors and proximity-key functionality further reduce the effort involved in day-to-day use.

The G6 is also practical for its streamlined exterior. Boot capacity is listed at 571 litres with the rear seats in place, expanding to 1,374 litres when they are folded. That combination gives the vehicle enough flexibility for routine luggage, shopping or larger loads without giving up the elevated seating position and compact external dimensions of an SUV.

Driver assistance and safety technology are extensive, including adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assistance, blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert and autonomous emergency braking. A 360-degree surround-view camera, reversing camera, integrated dash camera and automatic parking assistance help with both low-speed manoeuvring and awareness in tighter spaces. The G6 is listed with a five-star ANCAP rating and seven airbags.
