The 2025 XPeng G6 Long Range is a technology-focused electric SUV that combines a sleek coupe-inspired profile with the everyday practicality expected of a five-door family vehicle. With just 24 km recorded, this new example pairs a substantial 87.5 kWh lithium-ion battery with rear-wheel drive and a claimed 570 km WLTP driving range, giving it the specification to suit both regular commuting and longer-distance travel.

Its electric powertrain produces 210 kW and 440 Nm, with a single-speed automatic transmission delivering the quiet, immediate response characteristic of a battery-electric vehicle. The G6 also uses an 800-volt electrical architecture, supporting DC charging at up to 280 kW and a stated 10-to-80 per cent charging time of about 20 minutes when connected to a suitable charger. Type 2 AC and CCS2 DC charging connections provide compatibility with common charging infrastructure, while regenerative charging contributes to its flexible day-to-day operation.

Practicality is a significant part of the G6’s appeal. The luggage compartment provides 571 litres of space in its standard configuration and expands to 1,374 litres with the rear seats folded. That flexibility allows the cabin to accommodate routine shopping, luggage or larger items without sacrificing the comfort and usability of an SUV layout. Vehicle-to-load capability adds another useful dimension, allowing the car to supply power to compatible external equipment for activities such as camping or emergency use.

Inside, the cabin is designed around a clean, digital presentation. A 14.96-inch central touchscreen is paired with a 10.2-inch digital driver display, while wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto make it easier to integrate familiar smartphone functions. Dual wireless charging pads with active cooling, Bluetooth connectivity, USB ports and digital radio support convenient everyday use. An 18-speaker premium sound system, including driver headrest speakers, gives the interior a more immersive audio environment.

Comfort equipment includes power-adjustable front seats, vegan leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats and heated rear seats. The panoramic glass roof brings additional light into the cabin, while dual-zone automatic climate control, a heated steering wheel and adjustable lumbar support add useful refinement. The Midnight Black exterior is complemented by 20-inch alloy wheels.

Driver assistance is comprehensive, with the XPILOT suite incorporating adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assistance, blind-spot monitoring and road-sign recognition. A 360-degree surround-view camera, reversing camera and automatic parking assistance are intended to make low-speed manoeuvring easier, while rear cross-traffic alert, safe-exit warning and an integrated dash camera add further layers of awareness. The G6 carries a five-star ANCAP rating and is equipped with seven airbags and ISOFIX child-seat anchorage.
