2026 XPeng X9 Performance.

The XPeng X9 Performance is a large, fully electric seven-seat wagon designed around a spacious and highly equipped cabin. Its dual-motor all-wheel-drive system produces 370kW and 640Nm, giving this substantial vehicle strong performance while retaining the practicality expected from a three-row family vehicle. The claimed 0–100km/h time is 5.9 seconds.

A 110kWh NMC battery provides an advertised driving range of up to 580km under the WLTP standard. The 800V electrical architecture supports DC charging at up to 542kW, with a quoted 10–80 per cent charging time of around 12 minutes when connected to suitable equipment. These capabilities make the X9 better suited to longer-distance electric travel than a vehicle limited to short urban use.

Ride comfort and manoeuvrability are central to the X9’s design. Dual-chamber air suspension offers five height settings, while four-wheel steering helps manage the vehicle’s 5.3-metre length in tighter spaces. The vehicle is finished in Matte Grey with Rose Brown interior trim and is fitted with an electrically operated towbar.

Inside, the seven-seat layout provides space across all three rows. The second row uses Zero Gravity captain’s chairs with 14-way electric adjustment, heating, ventilation and massage functions, creating a particularly lounge-like environment for passengers. Heated third-row seats and five-zone climate control extend the focus on passenger comfort throughout the cabin.

The technology suite is substantial, with a 17.3-inch centre touchscreen, a 21.4-inch rear entertainment display and a 21-inch head-up display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual 50W cooled wireless phone chargers and a 27-speaker XOPERA premium audio system add convenience and entertainment for occupants. A heated and cooled refrigerator, adjustable from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius, is another distinctive feature for longer journeys.

Despite seating seven people, the X9 offers a quoted 721 litres of luggage capacity with all seats in use. Folding the rear seats increases the available cargo area to 2,554 litres, giving the wagon useful flexibility for bulky loads as well as passenger transport. With its combination of electric range, rapid charging, all-wheel drive, adaptive suspension and an unusually well-appointed interior, the X9 Performance presents a spacious and technically advanced approach to large-capacity motoring.
