2026 XPeng X9 Performance.

The XPeng X9 Performance is a large, fully electric seven-seat wagon designed around spaciousness, long-distance capability and a high level of passenger comfort. Finished in Silver Frost with a Coffee interior, this demo vehicle combines all-wheel-drive performance with a practical three-row cabin and 1,508 kilometres on the odometer.

Its dual-motor electric drivetrain produces 370kW and 640Nm, giving the X9 the ability to accelerate from 0–100km/h in a claimed 5.9 seconds. That performance is balanced by a 110kWh NMC battery with up to 580km of WLTP-rated driving range, making the vehicle suited to both everyday use and extended travel. The 800V electrical architecture supports DC charging at up to 542kW, with a quoted 10–80 per cent charging time of around 12 minutes when connected to suitable equipment.

Despite its 5.3-metre length, the X9 is equipped with four-wheel steering to improve manoeuvrability. Its dual-chamber air suspension offers five height settings, allowing the ride and ground clearance to be adjusted for different driving conditions. A factory-optioned electrically operated towbar adds further practical flexibility.

The cabin is configured with seven seats and is intended to provide useful space across all three rows. Second-row Zero Gravity captain’s chairs feature 14-way electric adjustment, heating, ventilation and massage, while the third row also includes heating and electric adjustment. Five-zone climate control helps manage comfort throughout the spacious interior, and a heated and cooled refrigerator can be adjusted between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius.

Technology is presented through a 17.3-inch centre touchscreen, a 21.4-inch rear entertainment display and a 21-inch head-up display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto provide familiar smartphone integration, while dual 50W cooled wireless phone chargers add convenience for front occupants. A 27-speaker XOPERA premium audio system is paired with Nappa leather-appointed trim to give the cabin a distinctly high-specification feel.

Practicality remains a central part of the X9’s appeal. The luggage area offers 721 litres with all seven seats in use and expands to 2,554 litres when the rear seats are folded. That combination of passenger capacity, cargo flexibility, electric range and rapid-charging capability makes the X9 Performance a distinctive alternative for buyers seeking a large, premium-feeling electric vehicle.
