Vehicle Overview

2019 Hyundai i30 Active Auto MY20.

This 2019 Hyundai i30 Active presents as a practical five-door hatchback with a well-rounded specification and straightforward petrol power. Its Polar White exterior gives the car a clean, understated appearance, while the compact hatchback body provides an easy-to-manage footprint for everyday driving and useful flexibility when carrying passengers or luggage.

Power comes from a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 120kW and 203Nm, paired with a six-speed Sports Automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive keeps the mechanical layout familiar and uncomplicated, while selectable drive modes allow the driver to adjust the car’s responses to suit different conditions. The quoted combined fuel consumption is 7.4L/100km, with the engine designed to run on unleaded petrol.

The Active cabin is equipped for connected daily motoring. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto provide convenient access to compatible smartphone functions, while Bluetooth connectivity, USB ports, digital radio, GPS navigation and a six-speaker stereo broaden the available entertainment and information choices. A multifunction steering wheel helps keep commonly used controls within reach, and air conditioning, power windows and remote keyless entry add useful convenience to regular trips.

Practical details extend beyond the technology. The i30 includes a reversing camera, parking sensors and graphical parking assistance to make low-speed manoeuvring easier. Power-folding and heated door mirrors are useful in tight parking spaces and changing weather, while the full-size spare alloy wheel provides an additional measure of reassurance when travelling. The five-seat layout and hatchback rear opening offer everyday versatility, with listed luggage capacity ranging from 395 litres to 1,301 litres depending on how the rear seating area is configured.

Safety equipment includes electronic stability control, active traction control, hill-start assist, ABS, brake assist, electronic brake-force distribution, cruise control, automatic headlights and tyre-pressure monitoring. The vehicle is listed with a five-star ANCAP rating and seven airbags, together with ISOFIX and seatbelt child-seat anchorage points. Sixteen-inch alloy wheels complete the specification.
