The 2026 BMW M4 Competition M xDrive Coupé combines the compact proportions and focused presentation of a two-door performance car with the added traction of BMW’s all-wheel-drive system. Finished in black with a matching black interior, this new example presents a distinctive interpretation of the M4 formula, balancing everyday refinement with the hardware and specification expected from BMW’s high-performance range.

At its centre is an engine producing 390 kW (530 hp) and 650Nm of torque, paired with an automatic transmission. The published figures include a 0–100 km/h time of 3.50 seconds and a maximum speed of 250 km/h. While those numbers speak to the car’s outright pace, the more meaningful benefit for regular driving is the combination of strong reserves of power and all-wheel-drive traction, giving the M4 the ability to deliver its performance with composure across a broad range of conditions.

The chassis specification is designed to support that capability without making the car feel one-dimensional. Adaptive M Suspension allows the driving character to be adjusted, while the M Sport differential and M Compound brakes are intended to maintain control and consistency when the vehicle is driven with greater intent. The 19-inch front and 20-inch rear M forged wheels, in Double-spoke style 826 M Black, reinforce the car’s purposeful appearance and provide a suitably substantial foundation for the braking and suspension systems.

Inside, full Merino black leather, M Sport seats and carbon-fibre interior trim create a cabin with a clear performance focus. Electric seat adjustment with memory, seat heating for the driver and front passenger, steering-wheel heating and lumbar support add useful comfort for longer journeys. The anthracite headliner and M seat belts add further visual distinction without compromising the restrained black interior theme.

Technology is comprehensive. BMW Live Cockpit Professional provides the central interface, supported by Connected Package Professional, DAB+ radio, a personal eSIM and wireless charging storage. The Harman Kardon Surround Sound System enhances the cabin’s long-distance usability, while Comfort Access, automatic air conditioning and an automatic tailgate bring a practical dimension to the coupé’s sporting brief.

Driver assistance and parking equipment are also well represented.
