Vehicle Overview

2026 Jayco Discovery Outback.

The 2026 Jayco Discovery 16.67-5 Outback is a compact caravan designed around a practical couples or single-traveller layout. Its island bed gives the sleeping area a more accessible, residential feel, while the separate toilet and shower preserve privacy and convenience during longer stays. A dedicated seating and kitchen area completes the interior, creating a self-contained arrangement without the footprint of a larger caravan.

This example is fitted with a selection of factory options aimed at making campsite setup and day-to-day use more straightforward. The DO35 hitch is paired with an external hot and cold shower, two wireless reversing cameras and a jerry can holder, while a second annexe light extends illumination to the non-door side. Inside, robe shelving and two additional 12-volt points add useful storage and charging flexibility.

With a listed tare of 1,867kg, an ATM of 2,201kg and a ball weight of 219kg, the Discovery provides clear weight figures for tow-vehicle planning. Its combination of compact dimensions, separate bathroom facilities and considered storage and power additions gives this layout a balanced focus on comfort, functionality and manageable touring practicality.
