The 2026 GWM Tank 300 Ultra is a five-seat SUV designed to combine traditional four-wheel-drive hardware with a more refined, technology-focused cabin. Finished in Crystal Black, this new example has travelled just 10 kilometres and pairs a 2.4-litre turbo-diesel engine with a nine-speed sports automatic transmission and an on-demand 4X4 system.

Its appeal is rooted in versatility. The turbo-diesel produces 135kW and 480Nm, while the dual-range transfer case, selectable driving modes and rear differential lock provide the mechanical equipment expected of a serious off-road vehicle. Ground clearance of 224mm, a 700mm wading depth and measured approach, breakover and departure angles support its ability to tackle uneven terrain. The 3,000kg braked towing capacity and 600kg payload also give the Tank 300 useful working capability, while the 75-litre fuel tank and stated combined consumption of 7.8L/100km suit longer-distance travel.

On the road, the Ultra specification is intended to make the robust four-wheel-drive package easier to live with every day. The cabin offers five seats, leather-appointed upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, heated front and rear outboard seats, two-zone climate control and a heated steering wheel. An electric sunroof, ambient lighting, keyless entry and push-button start add convenience, while the rear barn-style tailgate, roof rails, side steps, full-size alloy spare and trailer socket reinforce the vehicle's practical character.

Technology is well represented, with a large colour multimedia touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, satellite navigation, DAB+ digital radio and a nine-speaker audio system. A connected smartphone app and multiple USB ports extend the vehicle's usefulness when travelling or carrying equipment.

Driver assistance equipment includes adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition and rear cross-traffic alert. Front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera and surround-view camera system provide additional visibility in tight spaces, while hill descent control, hill start assist, electronic stability control and tyre-pressure monitoring support both everyday driving and off-road use.
