Vehicle Overview

This 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Active is a practical seven-seat SUV with the added versatility of an on-demand four-wheel-drive system. Its combination of passenger capacity, automatic transmission and generous cabin dimensions makes it a useful all-rounder for carrying people, luggage and everyday equipment, while the upright SUV body provides a clear view of the road and straightforward access to the interior.

Power comes from a 2.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 242 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The drivetrain is designed to send drive to all four wheels when required, adding useful traction flexibility across changing road surfaces. A listed fuel consumption figure of 9 L/100 km and a 64-litre fuel tank provide a clear reference point for running expectations, although actual consumption will depend on conditions, load and driving style.

The seven-seat layout is one of this Santa Fe's strongest practical qualities. The second row accommodates three passengers, while the third row adds occasional seating capacity when required. Storage-oriented details include bottle holders across all three rows, a rear cargo blind, cargo net and tie-down hooks, helping the cabin adapt between passenger and load-carrying duties. Rear air conditioning also contributes to a more comfortable environment for occupants in the back.

Equipment is focused on everyday convenience and straightforward usability. The Active specification includes cruise control, remote and keyless central locking, power windows, electric-assist power steering, a multifunction steering wheel and a multifunction control screen. Bluetooth, USB and auxiliary audio connections provide several options for connecting devices, while the six-speaker stereo and CD player cover conventional listening needs. The driver also benefits from an electrically adjustable lumbar-supported seat and height adjustment.

Its safety equipment includes a five-star ANCAP rating, ABS with electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist, electronic stability control, traction control, hill-holder and hill-descent control. A rear-view camera and rear parking sensors assist with low-speed manoeuvring, while front and rear head airbags, front side airbags, a driver's knee airbag and front airbags provide a broad set of occupant-protection features. Automatic light-sensitive headlamps, daytime running lamps and front fog lamps add further visibility support.

Outside, the white bodywork is complemented by roof rails, 17-inch alloy wheels, body-coloured exterior details, chrome grille and window surrounds, and mudflaps at both ends. The cabin is trimmed in cloth and includes air conditioning, front and rear armrests, adjustable headrests for all seating rows, multiple cup holders and illuminated entry features. With 225,230 km displayed, this Santa Fe's age and distance travelled should be considered alongside its seven-seat packaging, petrol powertrain and four-wheel-drive capability.
