The car is powered by Ford's F-code 302 Windsor V8, paired with a C4 Cruisomatic automatic transmission. The engine was reconditioned in 1997 and is fitted with a recently rebuilt Quick Fuel four-barrel carburettor, factory exhaust manifolds and a new dual exhaust system. That combination keeps the mechanical specification rooted in the Mustang's original era while providing a straightforward, familiar driving experience.

This Mustang was converted to right-hand drive in 1997 by Sydney Mustang specialist Ray Alberry. The conversion is supported by a 2018 NSW engineering certificate, which covers the period-correct Ford Fairlane steering box, idler arm, drag link and ram, as well as the seat belts and braking changes. Ford Fairlane front disc brakes, rear drums, power steering and reconditioned suspension with heavy-duty springs add useful improvements to the car's everyday usability without changing its fundamentally traditional character.

Visually, the mostly original Cinnamon Poly paint shows the honest presentation expected of an unrestored classic. The body is described as solid, with minimal surface rust and no damage. The electric convertible top is in good condition and operates correctly, allowing the car's appeal to shift easily between relaxed enclosed cruising and open-air motoring. The original white interior is showing wear, although it offers scope to respond well to careful detailing. Original chrome and glass, working gauges, an aftermarket radio and a reproduction steering wheel complete the period-focused cabin.

New Magnum 500 wheels and BF Goodrich T/A radial tyres in 225/60R15 sizing give the Mustang a purposeful stance while remaining sympathetic to its era. An engine immobiliser, locking fuel cap and internal bonnet locking latch provide additional practical security features.

Documentation includes a receipt folder, the NSW engineering certificate and NSW registration stated as running until 17 September 2026.
