The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander ES ZM Auto AWD is a new five-door SUV combining practical passenger space with on-demand all-wheel drive and a naturally aspirated 2.5-litre petrol engine. With five seats, a 485-litre minimum load area and up to 1466 litres of available cargo space, it is configured to handle everyday luggage and larger loads without moving into a much larger vehicle class.

Power comes from a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine producing 135.0 kW and 244 Nm, paired with a continuously variable transmission. The 4X4 On Demand drivetrain provides a useful extra layer of traction versatility, while selectable drive modes, active traction control, hill-start assist and hill-descent control support the vehicle's practical all-weather brief. Its published combined fuel consumption is 7.8L/100km, with a 55-litre fuel tank and 91 RON unleaded petrol specified.

The cabin is trimmed in black cloth and includes dual-zone automatic climate control, adjustable lumbar support, remote keyless entry, a starter button and a multifunction steering wheel. These features focus on reducing the effort of regular driving, while power windows, power door mirrors, electric power steering and a full-size spare alloy wheel add useful day-to-day convenience.

Technology is centred on smartphone integration through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, supported by USB ports, digital radio, GPS navigation and an eight-speaker stereo. High-beam assist, fully automatic headlights, an integrated dash camera, active stability control, electronic stability control and eight airbags are also listed.

Externally, the ES rides on 18-inch alloy wheels with 235/60 R18 tyres and uses LED headlights.
