Omoda Jaecoo’s robotic division, AiMOGA Debuts latest tech at LEAP East Hong Kong

AiMOGA Robotics used LEAP East Hong Kong to demonstrate how embodied artificial intelligence is moving beyond laboratory development and into practical service environments. The robotic division presented its humanoid robot Mornine and quadruped robot Argos, focusing on applications spanning conference services, public safety, cultural interaction and commercial spaces.

Mornine featured prominently at DeepFest, an artificial intelligence forum held as part of the event. During the opening session, the humanoid robot welcomed attendees in English, introduced the agenda and invited the moderator onto the stage. It also demonstrated multilingual interaction and agenda guidance, illustrating how a robot can support reception, information and hosting duties in professional environments where communication and reliable operation are important.

The demonstrations were designed to show applied capabilities rather than simply outline future concepts. Mornine interacted with visitors and performed traditional Chinese calligraphy, creating a cultural point of engagement for an international audience. This combination of physical action, communication and audience interaction highlighted the role of embodied AI in settings where a machine must respond naturally to people and operate within a shared public space.

Argos provided a contrasting demonstration of mobile robotics. The quadruped robot carried out visitor guidance and interaction tasks throughout the exhibition, with its mobility used to show how robotic systems can navigate and assist in active environments. A separate intelligent traffic police robot presented potential uses in public safety and inspection, attracting interest from professionals involved in urban governance and public services.

LEAP East was the first occasion on which the Saudi Arabian technology event was held outside Saudi Arabia. Jointly organised by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government, the event brought together more than 340 speakers, 450 technology companies, over 400 investment institutions and more than 35,000 professional visitors.

For AiMOGA, the Hong Kong appearance also served as a platform for international collaboration. The company held discussions with universities, research institutions, technology organisations, investors, distributors and other business partners from Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. The conversations covered embodied-intelligence development, scenario-based deployment, industrial cooperation and market expansion.

AiMOGA also contributed to a forum examining how real-world applications can support the commercialisation of humanoid robots. The company shared its experience of global deployment and discussed practical routes from technology validation to wider operational use. According to the article, its products have been deployed in more than 50 countries and regions across automotive retail, public services, commercial spaces and international events.

The central message from the showcase was that progress in embodied AI is being measured increasingly through real-world performance. By placing robots in reception, cultural, safety and visitor-service roles, AiMOGA is testing how effectively they can interact with people, perform useful tasks and operate consistently outside controlled development environments.
