Omoda Jaecoo continues strong NEV sales in July

Omoda Jaecoo’s July sales update highlights the growing contribution of electrified vehicles to the brand’s Australian business. Of 2,135 registrations recorded during the month, 1,571 were New Energy Vehicles, representing 74 per cent of total deliveries.

The Jaecoo J5 EV was the leading contributor, with 1,262 examples registered in July. Since its Australian introduction, more than 7,700 J5 vehicles have been delivered, including 7,192 electric versions. The model also recorded strong market recognition as the best-selling small electric SUV in May and the seventh most popular vehicle overall during that month.

Across its Super Hybrid and battery-electric ranges, the brand reports more than 9,000 Australian deliveries in 2026. That figure represents 82.5 per cent of its total sales of 10,943 vehicles, illustrating how significantly electrified models are shaping the product mix.

The sales momentum extends beyond Australia. Global New Energy Vehicle deliveries reached 56,188 in June, a year-on-year increase of 310 per cent. The brand also reports strong plug-in hybrid results for the J7 in the United Kingdom, Brazil, Italy and Poland.

Further expansion of the Australian electrified range is planned through the arrival of the next-generation J5 SHS-H and the seven-seat J8 SHS-P. These additions broaden the choice between battery-electric and hybrid powertrains while extending the range into larger family-focused SUV formats.
