The 2026 BMW X2 M35i xDrive brings a distinctly performance-focused character to BMW's compact SUV range, combining a high-output petrol engine with all-wheel drive and a sporty, coupe-inspired profile. Its M35i specification is aimed at drivers who want a sharper response and more expressive equipment without moving into a larger vehicle class.

Power is rated at 221 kW, with 400 Nm of torque and a claimed 0–100 km/h time of 5.40 seconds. The automatic transmission includes gearshift paddles, giving the driver a more involved way to manage the powertrain when desired, while xDrive all-wheel drive provides the core mechanical layout for the car's performance-oriented brief. Adaptive M Suspension is fitted to help tailor the vehicle's responses across different driving conditions.
