2023 VOLKSWAGEN T-CROSS 4D WAGON 85TSI LIFE C1 MY23 UPDATE

2023 Volkswagen T-Cross 85TSI Life C1 MY23 Update.

The Volkswagen T-Cross is a compact SUV designed around urban usability, but this 2023 85TSI Life also brings the flexibility expected of a larger family-oriented vehicle. Its compact footprint makes it straightforward to position in tight streets and parking spaces, while the raised SUV seating position provides a useful view over surrounding traffic. Finished in grey, this example combines restrained styling with the practical proportions that define the T-Cross.

Power comes from a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine producing 85kW and 200Nm. It is paired with Volkswagen's seven-speed direct-shift automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The combination is suited to everyday driving, with a compact engine layout and claimed combined fuel consumption as low as 5.4L/100km. Driving Mode Selection allows the driver to adjust the vehicle's responses according to conditions and preference.

Inside, the T-Cross Life focuses on connectivity and day-to-day convenience. An eight-inch touchscreen multimedia system supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth and wireless App-Connect, while DAB+ digital radio and a six-speaker sound system provide additional entertainment options. The leather steering wheel incorporates multifunction controls, cruise control and paddle shifters, keeping commonly used functions close to hand.

Practicality is one of the T-Cross's strongest attributes. The rear seat base slides longitudinally, allowing the cabin to be configured either for additional passenger space or increased luggage capacity. The boot offers 385 litres in its standard configuration and can expand to 455 litres with the rear seat adjusted, while folding the rear seats creates a stated maximum capacity of 1,285 litres. A variable luggage-compartment floor, cargo cover and tie-down points add useful versatility for shopping, travel or recreational equipment.

Safety and parking assistance are supported by autonomous emergency braking, front assist, pedestrian and cyclist recognition, lane departure warning, lane assist and driver fatigue detection. Front and rear parking distance control works with a reversing camera and manoeuvre braking to make low-speed positioning easier. The equipment list also includes front and rear curtain airbags, front side airbags, electronic stability control, hill-start assist and tyre-pressure monitoring.

Everyday comfort is addressed with front comfort seats, height adjustment for both front seats, lumbar support, a front centre armrest and premium two-tone cloth upholstery. Heated and folding exterior mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, automatic lights, keyless entry, power windows and remote window operation add convenience to regular use. Black roof rails, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights give the exterior a well-equipped appearance without compromising its practical character.
