The BYD SEAL Premium is an electric sedan built around a substantial 82.56 kWh BYD Blade Battery and a rear-wheel-drive layout. For the Premium specification, the published range is up to 650km under the NEDC test cycle, or 570km under WLTP. DC charging is supported at up to 150kW, giving owners a faster replenishment option when travelling between charging locations.

The rear-wheel-drive powertrain produces a maximum 230kW and 360Nm. That output gives the SEAL a responsive character, while the electric drivetrain delivers its performance without the shifting interruptions associated with a conventional multi-speed transmission. The Premium model also includes a heads-up display, helping place key driving information within the driver's forward field of view.

Inside, the cabin is trimmed in Thaumas Black and uses genuine leather-wrapped steering wheel and seats. The presentation is complemented by 19-inch alloy wheels, which are included with this configuration. These details give the SEAL a more upmarket feel while retaining the clean, technology-focused character expected of a contemporary electric sedan.
