BYD SEAL Premium

The BYD SEAL Premium is a fully electric sedan that combines a streamlined four-door shape with a substantial 82.56 kWh BYD Blade Battery. Its specification is aimed at drivers who want long-distance electric capability without moving into a larger SUV, while the rear-wheel-drive layout gives the car a conventional and balanced foundation.

Range is quoted at up to 650km under the NEDC testing standard, or 570km WLTP. That distinction is useful when assessing everyday travel: the WLTP figure is the more relevant benchmark for comparing advertised electric range, while actual results will vary with driving conditions, temperature, traffic, payload and use of climate control. The battery can accept AC charging at up to 7kW and DC charging at up to 150kW, giving owners flexibility between convenient overnight charging and faster charging during longer journeys.

The Premium grade develops maximum outputs of 230kW and 360Nm, with a quoted 0-100km/h time of 5.9 seconds. Those figures suggest a car that can deliver strong, immediate electric response when required, while the rear-mounted drive configuration keeps the powertrain specification relatively straightforward. As with any electric vehicle, the quiet delivery and seamless acceleration are central to the SEAL's character rather than an afterthought.

Inside, the cabin uses Thaumas Black genuine leather-wrapped seats and steering wheel, creating a restrained, premium-focused environment. A head-up display helps place key driving information within the driver's line of sight, reducing the need to look down at the instrument panel. The standard 19-inch alloy wheels complement the SEAL's low-slung sedan profile and are included with the Premium configuration.

The selected exterior finish is Aurora White, a clean colour choice that highlights the vehicle's flowing bodywork. Together with the black interior and alloy wheels, it creates a specification that is visually understated rather than dependent on additional option packages. The configurator also identifies alternative paint finishes and accessory choices, but these are not included in the selected vehicle specification.
