Vehicle Overview

The 2022 Kia Carnival Platinum is a spacious eight-seat people mover designed to make transporting passengers and cargo straightforward. Its long body and flexible cabin provide the kind of room that suits busy daily routines, while the five-door layout and sliding side doors make access easier in confined parking spaces.

Power comes from a 2.2-litre turbo-intercooled diesel engine paired with an eight-speed sports automatic transmission. With front-wheel drive and a displayed combined fuel consumption figure of 6.5L/100km, the drivetrain is configured for practical long-distance travel as well as regular urban use. The Carnival also offers a 2,000kg braked towing capacity, adding useful versatility when extra carrying capability is required.

This Platinum specification brings a strong emphasis on comfort and convenience. Heated seats, a heated steering wheel, memory seating and multi-zone climate control help make the cabin more accommodating for occupants across all three rows. Electric sliding doors, proximity key entry, a starter button and power-folding heated mirrors reduce the effort involved in everyday loading and access.

Technology is well represented, with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, wireless device charging, GPS navigation and digital radio supporting straightforward connection and entertainment. A premium 12-speaker sound system with subwoofer adds a more involving audio experience, while the electric sunroof and privacy glass contribute to the cabin atmosphere.

The vehicle's safety and driver-assistance equipment includes adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assistance, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking. Front and rear cross-traffic alerts, reverse collision mitigation, parking sensors, a reversing camera and safe-exit warning provide additional assistance in busy environments. The vehicle is listed with a five-star ANCAP rating.
