Power comes from a permanent-magnet electric motor producing 160 kW and 320 Nm, with drive sent to the front wheels through a single-speed reduction gear. The published 0-100 km/h time is 7.6 seconds, while the 68.4 kWh lithium-ion battery can accept a fast charge in a stated 20 minutes. Regenerative charging and mains charging are both supported.

Inside, the Inspire specification places a strong emphasis on comfort. The cabin includes electric seats with memory function, massaging seats, a heated steering wheel and climate control, while a power-blind sunroof and privacy glass add to the sense of refinement. The EX5 is equipped with adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking. Front and rear cross-traffic alerts, rear collision warning, reverse collision mitigation, safe-exit warning and an integrated dash camera add further layers of awareness. A reversing camera, parking sensors, electronic stability control, tyre-pressure monitoring and seven airbags are also listed, with the vehicle carrying a five-star ANCAP rating for 2025.

Measuring 4615 mm long and 1901 mm wide, the EX5 remains manageable in built-up environments while offering useful SUV practicality. The rear load area is listed at 302 litres in its minimum configuration and expands to 1877 litres with the available space used.
