Vehicle Overview

2016 Hyundai i30 Active X GD4 Series 2.

The 2016 Hyundai i30 Active X is a practical small hatchback with a well-rounded equipment list and an easy-to-use automatic drivetrain. Its compact five-door body makes it straightforward to manoeuvre and park, while the hatchback layout provides useful access to the rear cargo area for everyday errands and weekend requirements.

Power comes from a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine using multi-point fuel injection, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. This combination is suited to drivers looking for conventional petrol power and relaxed automatic operation. With 131,854 kilometres recorded, the vehicle’s mileage is clearly presented for consideration alongside its age and specification.

The Active X grade adds a more accommodating cabin environment through leather-accented upholstery, a leather steering wheel and leather gear knob. The driver’s seat is manually adjustable, while the steering column offers tilt and telescopic adjustment. A multifunction steering wheel, trip computer and ambient temperature display help keep common controls and information close at hand without complicating the driving experience.

Convenience is a particular strength. Cruise control can reduce effort on longer journeys, while the reversing camera and rear parking distance control provide useful assistance when positioning the car in confined spaces. Remote central locking, power windows, folding power mirrors with indicators and air conditioning support straightforward daily use. Mobile phone connectivity, AUX and USB inputs, a multifunction control screen and a six-speaker CD audio system provide several options for in-car entertainment.

The safety equipment includes dual front, side, head and knee airbags, anti-lock braking, brake assist, electronic brake-force distribution, electronic stability programming and traction control. Child-seat anchor points, ISOFIX attachment points, child-proof rear door locks and seatbelt reminders for all seats add practical reassurance for occupants. Projector headlights, front fog lights, heated exterior mirrors and a rear spoiler are also included in the specification.

Sixteen-inch alloy wheels, body-coloured exterior details and a roof-mounted antenna give the blue i30 a tidy, cohesive appearance. Inside, useful touches such as front and rear door pockets, cup holders, a cooled glovebox, a centre-console storage compartment, illuminated entry lighting and a full-size steel spare wheel contribute to its everyday functionality.
