Vehicle Overview

The 2022 Kia Carnival Platinum is a large, well-equipped people mover that combines the practicality of an eight-seat cabin with the comfort and presentation expected of a flagship family vehicle. Finished in Grey, this KA4-generation Carnival is powered by a 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine and uses an eight-speed Sports Automatic transmission driving the front wheels.

Its greatest strength is the way it approaches passenger transport as a genuinely versatile task. With eight seats, sliding side doors and rear seating that can slide, recline and fold, the cabin is arranged to accommodate people and luggage with considerably less compromise than a conventional SUV. The third row folds flat when extra cargo space is required, while the powered side doors and powered tailgate make everyday loading and access easier.

Comfort is a clear focus of the Platinum specification. Multi-zone climate control with rear air conditioning helps keep the spacious cabin comfortable, while heated first- and second-row seats, ventilated front seats, electric front-seat adjustment with memory functions and a heated steering wheel add convenience in different conditions. Rear window blinds, privacy glass and multiple storage areas further support the Carnival's long-distance and family-oriented usability.

The driving environment is also comprehensively equipped. A colour multi-function display, satellite navigation, digital radio, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto provide a broad range of connectivity options. The premium audio system uses 12 speakers and includes a subwoofer, while wireless device charging helps reduce cable clutter. A sunroof and 19-inch alloy wheels add to the vehicle's upmarket character.

Safety and driver assistance equipment covers both everyday manoeuvring and highway travel. Front, side and rear cameras provide a broad view around the vehicle, complemented by front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic warnings and a side-door exit warning system. Forward collision warning, collision mitigation, pedestrian avoidance with braking, lane departure warning, active lane keeping assistance, driver attention detection and adaptive speed control with road-sign recognition add further support on busy roads and longer journeys.

With 64,390 kilometres recorded, this used Carnival presents a practical blend of passenger capacity, flexible seating and premium equipment. Its diesel powertrain, eight-speed automatic transmission and quoted combined fuel consumption of 6.5L/100km give the vehicle a useful balance between touring capability and day-to-day usability, while the 2,000kg braked towing capacity adds further functional versatility.
