Power comes from a 150kW front-mounted electric motor supplied by a 75.3kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. The vehicle supports 180kW DC fast charging, with a quoted 30 to 80 per cent charging time of approximately 16 to 24 minutes. Vehicle-to-load capability also allows the battery to supply power to compatible external appliances, adding versatility for travel and outdoor use.

Driver assistance and parking technology are extensive. The Aion V Luxury has a five-star ANCAP safety rating, seven airbags, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assistance and adaptive speed limiting with road-sign recognition. A 360-degree surround-view camera works with front and rear parking sensors to improve visibility in tight spaces.
