Vehicle Overview

2019 TOYOTA COROLLA SX MZEA12R.

This 2019 Toyota Corolla SX is a practical five-door hatchback with the compact dimensions and familiar usability that have long made the Corolla a dependable choice for everyday driving. Its 2.0-litre petrol engine produces 125 kW and is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission, giving the car an uncomplicated drivetrain suited to commuting, urban errands and longer trips.

The SX grade adds a useful level of technology and convenience without compromising the Corolla's straightforward character. Satellite navigation, digital radio, Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition and wireless phone charging help keep the cabin connected, while the six-speaker sound system and AUX/USB input provide familiar entertainment options. Dual-zone climate control and intelligent active cruise control further support relaxed driving, particularly when traffic or changing temperatures make a journey more demanding.

As a hatchback, the Corolla offers a versatile footprint that is easy to place in tighter streets and parking spaces. The split-fold rear seat can extend the cargo area's flexibility when carrying larger items, while bottle holders front and rear add useful day-to-day storage. Cloth trim, an adjustable driver's seat and a multifunction steering wheel keep the cabin focused on practical comfort rather than unnecessary complexity.

Safety equipment is a strong part of this Corolla's specification. Autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring and pedestrian recognition provide a comprehensive suite of driver-assistance features. Front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera and keyless entry and start add further convenience in busy car parks and confined spaces. The equipment list also includes dual front, knee, side and curtain airbags, ISOFIX child-seat anchorage and vehicle stability control.

On the outside, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED front and rear lighting, LED daytime running lights, heated power mirrors and rear privacy glass give the hatch a clean, contemporary presentation. Adaptive high-beam assistance and front and rear fog lights add further lighting functionality. The front-wheel-drive layout, 50-litre fuel tank and quoted combined fuel consumption of 6 L/100km underline the Corolla's role as an efficient, accessible all-rounder.
