This new Hino FS2848 is configured as a heavy-duty tipper for demanding haulage and construction applications. Its steel tipper body measures 4,700mm long by 2,490mm wide and uses a front-mounted hoist, providing a practical combination of carrying capacity and straightforward unloading functionality.

Power comes from a 480-horsepower diesel engine paired with a ZF TraXon 16-speed automated manual transmission. The AMT arrangement is designed to reduce the workload associated with repeated gear changes, while the integrated Intarder adds additional control when managing speed on descents or with a loaded body. Differential cross locks further support traction when operating on challenging surfaces.

The truck is prepared for broader worksite duties with air trailer brakes and rear hydraulics, an ABS/EBS plug and a 50mm automatic coupling. An electric wind-out hood tarp helps cover the load, while the battery isolator and reverse squawker add useful operational equipment for a working truck.
