Vehicle Overview

The 2025 Isuzu F Series FVZ 260-300 AT R46 is a purpose-built water truck combining a heavy-duty 6x4 truck platform with a 13,000-litre water cart system. Its specification is aimed at dependable water distribution, road cleaning, dust suppression and site-support work, with the chassis and body equipment designed to operate as one integrated package rather than as a basic truck carrying a separate tank.

Power comes from Isuzu's 6.7-litre six-cylinder DB6A-TCC turbo-diesel, producing 300 HP and 981 Nm of torque. The six-speed Allison 3000 Gen 6 automatic transmission is a practical match for a vehicle that may spend long periods manoeuvring at low speed or working in changing site conditions. A stated GVM of 26,000 kg and GCM of 36,000 kg provide the capacity expected of a large commercial water cart, while the 4,595 mm wheelbase supports a compact working footprint for a truck of this class.

The 13,000-litre poly water tank is spring-mounted to the chassis and fitted with baffle balls to help manage water movement in transit. A sight tube at the rear provides a direct indication of tank level, while the galvanized frame and galvanized pipework and fittings are intended to withstand the demanding environment associated with water-cart operation. Filling options include a top funnel for standpipe or overhead filling, a chassis-level rear fill point with bronze one-way valve and cam-lock fitting, and pipework for drawing water from creeks or dams.

Water delivery is controlled through a hydraulic system with a cast-iron, self-priming 4-inch pump. The pump is rated at up to 3,000 litres per minute and 100 psi, with load-sensing hydraulics, a variable-displacement PTO pump and proportional valve. In-cab dial control allows the operator to adjust spray volume, while the 45-litre hydraulic oil tank incorporates fan cooling and filtration. The integrated CANBUS control system monitors water level, hydraulic oil temperature and pump output, displays operating information digitally and includes automatic low-water cut-off protection against dry running.

The spray equipment gives the truck several operating modes. Three rear spray heads can be adjusted and operated from the cab, while independently actuated left- and right-hand front sprays are intended for road-cleaning work. High-volume vertical sprays are fitted on both sides, and an Australian-made rotating cannon provides electronically adjustable delivery. A full-width gravity-fed dribble bar adds another distribution option. For transfer and washdown duties, the truck includes a 3-inch discharge outlet with manual valve and a 1-inch rubber hose reel with adjustable nozzle.

Operational visibility and site safety are supported by rear-facing work lights, duplicated high-mounted and side-clearance lighting, rotating and rear flashing beacons, an 80-channel UHF radio, lockable battery and starter isolators, and a white-noise reverse alert. Emergency stops are fitted in both the cabin and on the body, while a reverse camera feeds an in-cab display. The body also features a rear drop-down bar and step for access.

The FVZ specification includes a broad suite of electronic driver-assistance and safety systems, including advanced emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, adaptive driving beam, electronic stability control, anti-lock braking and anti-skid regulation. Traffic sign recognition, distance warning, attention alert and traffic movement warning are also listed. Inside, the truck has air conditioning, an air-suspended ISRI driver's seat, airbags and seatbelt pretensioners for the driver and front passenger, Bi-LED headlamps with daytime running lamps, heated and powered exterior mirrors, automatic wipers and an engine compression brake.

With its integrated 13,000-litre tank, automatic transmission, high-capacity hydraulic pump and multiple spray and fill arrangements, this Isuzu is configured as a specialist work vehicle rather than a general-purpose cab-chassis truck. The very low indicated odometer reading is consistent with its new condition, while the combination of body controls, safety equipment and water-handling hardware gives the package a focused, ready-to-work specification.
