Omoda Jaecoo’s robotic division, AiMOGA Debuts latest tech at LEAP East Hong Kong
Vehicle Overview
AiMOGA Robotics, the robotic division associated with Omoda Jaecoo, used LEAP East Hong Kong to demonstrate how embodied artificial intelligence is moving beyond laboratory development and into practical public-facing roles. The presentation featured Mornine, a humanoid robot, alongside Argos, a quadruped platform designed for mobile interaction and operational tasks.
The event marked LEAP’s first presentation outside Saudi Arabia and brought together technology companies, investors, government representatives, researchers and industry organisations. Against that international backdrop, AiMOGA’s focus was not limited to prototypes or technical potential. Instead, the company demonstrated applications intended to show how intelligent machines can interact with people, navigate environments and contribute to service-based activities.
Mornine took part in the opening of DeepFest, an AI-focused forum examining the transition from innovation to industrial use. The humanoid robot welcomed attendees in English, introduced the programme and invited the moderator to the stage. It also demonstrated multilingual interaction and agenda guidance, highlighting possible applications in conference reception, business events and professional visitor services.
Other demonstrations placed greater emphasis on cultural engagement. Mornine performed traditional Chinese calligraphy while interacting with visitors from different countries. This combination of physical movement, conversation and creative activity illustrated the broader challenge facing embodied AI: useful deployment depends not only on technical capability, but also on natural and reliable communication with people.
Argos provided a contrasting demonstration through its mobility. During the exhibition it assisted with guidance and visitor interaction, while its agile movement and stable operation attracted attention from attendees. AiMOGA also presented an intelligent traffic-police robot, using the platform to explore public-safety and inspection applications relevant to urban management and public services.
Together, the demonstrations covered conference services, cultural interaction, commercial spaces, public safety and spatial guidance. The emphasis on these environments is significant because each requires a different balance of movement, responsiveness, interaction and operational consistency. AiMOGA’s approach is based on validating its systems through real-world scenarios and refining them through practical deployment rather than relying solely on controlled demonstrations.
The Hong Kong appearance also supported the company’s international partnership strategy. AiMOGA held discussions with universities, research institutions, technology companies, investors, distributors and industry partners from Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and other regions. Those conversations addressed embodied-intelligence development, scenario-based applications, industrial cooperation and market expansion.
AiMOGA reported that its products had been deployed across more than 50 countries and regions, serving automotive retail, public services, commercial environments and international events. Its participation at LEAP East therefore presented the technology as part of an ongoing commercialisation process, with global collaboration and practical use cases intended to guide future development.
